Regular check of the screws which support the engine(s). Essentially before extended voyages or during the service of the engines.
-
During cruising, keep in mind that the anchor must be secured. This way you prevent it from hitting the boat In case the electric winch is untied. Moreover make sure that the cabin hatch is secured as well to prevent its opening or the opening of the central console door. Unless all these security procedures are followed severe material damages or personal injuries may occur. High speeds require responsibility.
-
When the boat is not operated for long periods, turn off the engines’ main current switch. In case you need electric current for some reason leave only the service battery switch open.
-
If you have a refrigerator you should know that it won’t operate for long hours only with the support of the service battery. Thus either turn it off or adjust the thermostat to higher temperature.
-
If you feel that the power steering is "heavy” then there is a problem. You should have the electrics such as the poles, checked. Finally you have to check whether there is a short circuit to the battery.
-
You should not extremely tighten fuel filler caps with integrated venting, in order to secure propper fuel tank breathing.
-
When you speed with the boat and mostly when the weather is bad the deck bailing plugs (on the right and left) should always be open. In a stopped boat, it's better bailing plugs to be closed. Otherwise some water mayl come in the boat. The middle plug which leads to the bilge remains closed.
-
Tubes with Fabric-Mat fabric. Beware of the fastening balloons as they rub the rope and scratch the surface.
-
Toilet: be careful as there are switches that must be opened while using the toilet and immediately closed after it.
